This session sets the foundation for your ongoing work together.

On going Sessions

One-on-one counseling between a client and a therapist, focusing on personal concerns, emotions, behaviors, and goals.

Usually structured around a specific issue, skill, or goal instead of being open-ended.

Fee Agreements and Sliding Scale Options are based on income Guidelines.

Couples Therapy

Intake & Ongoing Sessions

$160 Per Session

Because couples counseling focuses on the relationship rather than an individual diagnosis, insurance does not cover these sessions (they fall under “Z codes” such as relationship distress). All couples therapy services are self-pay only.

Family Therapy:

$140 Per Session

Family therapy is designed to support two or more family members in improving communication, resolving conflict, and strengthening relationships.

Insurance Pending-

We are currently pending insurance acceptance with:

Husky CT, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum/United Healthcare, and Aetna.

In the meantime, we offer superbills for out-of-network reimbursement and limited sliding scale options to help make services more accessible.

Fee Agreements and Sliding Scale Options are based on income Guidelines.

Where support meets understanding, and healing begins.

1.What is an intake session?

An intake is the first session where your therapist gathers information about your history, current concerns, and goals for therapy. This helps us create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Intakes typically last 53-60 minutes.

2.What is the difference between individual therapy and couples therapy?

  • Individual Therapy focuses on you as a person, even if your partner occasionally joins a session for support. Insurance typically covers these sessions when medically necessary.
  • Couples Therapy focuses on the relationship itself (not one individual). Because insurance companies do not cover “relationship distress” (Z-codes), couples sessions are self-pay only.

3.What is the difference between a Pre-Licensed and a Fully Licensed provider?

  • Pre-Licensed Providers (sometimes called residents, associates, or interns) hold a graduate degree and are working toward independent licensure under the supervision of a licensed clinician. They provide high-quality, affordable care at a reduced rate.
  • Fully Licensed Providers have completed all requirements for independent licensure and may accept insurance. Their rates are typically higher due to their advanced training and experience.

4.What are out-of-network benefits?

If we are not contracted with your insurance, you may still have coverage under your out-of-network benefits. Many clients use a “Superbill” (a detailed receipt we provide) to submit claims for possible reimbursement after meeting their deductible.

5.Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, we offer limited sliding scale rates based on financial need. Please ask during your intake call for more information.

We require 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged at the full session rate.
